Designed and engineered in Campbell River, BC, this next-generation system takes yarding power to a new level - combining the muscle of traditional winching with the brains and efficiency of modern electric control.
Our first prototype is already in the field and performing above expectations. We started with a 7280B that was in dire need of maintenance and gave it a heart transplant - installing our new electric drive system. Designed to replace an aging, complex mechanical system with parts that are increasingly difficult to source, this near drop-in solution has transformed the 7280B into the 7280E - delivering more power, smoother control, and renewed life to a proven platform.
What It Is
The Electric Regenerative Winch replaces the conventional hydraulic winch system with a fully electric, precision-controlled drive that captures and reuses energy during lowering or braking. Instead of turning that energy into wasted heat, it’s fed back into the system — improving efficiency, lowering fuel consumption, and extending component life.
